Job summary

RWD Consulting, LLC seeks a Histopathology Technologist in Silver Spring, MD, to advance tissue processing and slide preparation. You will perform microtomy, embedding, staining, and QC, ensuring high-quality pathology materials for diagnosis.

The role requires five years in a histology lab, ASCP HT certification or equivalent, and the ability to train residents and staff in complex techniques and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in histology laboratory.
• ASCP HT certification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of tissue sectioning procedures.
• Ability to train others in techniques.
• Operate histology equipment and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Perform microtomy and cryotomy at high quality.
• Prepare frozen and paraffin sections or touch preparations.
• Set up procedures and details for tissue processing.
• Demonstrate fixation, dehydration and infiltration knowledge.
• Maintain records and repair damaged slides.
