Qualifications

• Maintains clinical knowledge and participates in continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collection, accessioning and logging routines.
• Processes, embeds, and sections tissues for slides.
• Performs preventive maintenance and quality-control procedures on microtomes and related instruments.
• Maintains aseptic techniques and observes health safety protocols.
• Follows hospital policies and keeps a safe, clean work area.
