Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Histology Technician to prepare tissue specimens by processing, microtomy, and mounting for microscopic analysis at 2014 Washington Street. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in a related field and 0–1 year of histology experience, with ASCP HT/HTL certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 0–1 year histology/clinical experience.
• HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process, embed, and section tissue for slides.
• Maintain control tissue library and quality control.
• Perform maintenance of microtomes and processors; change staining solutions.
• Ensure PPE usage and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Track specimens to ensure patient safety.
