Job summary

Medix in coastal South Florida is seeking a Histotechnologist to join our clinical lab team. You will perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, grossing, and staining, including IHC, while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and accredited Histology program, ASCP HTL certification, FL license (or eligible), and 1+ years of experience in histology. Relocation support and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited Histology program.
• Active ASCP Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL).
• Active Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (or eligible/in-process).
• 1+ years of clinical histology laboratory experience preferred (open to strong new graduates).

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, grossing, and staining (routine, special stains, and immunohistochemistry/IHC).
• Prepare hospital-grade pathology specimens, including surgical biopsies, bone marrows, frozen sections, and non-gynecological cytology.
• Ensure strict compliance with laboratory safety, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements (CAP/CLIA).
• Maintain bench machinery, reagents, and clinical laboratory documentation.
