Job summary

The Broward Health system in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a skilled Histology Technologist to prepare and process tissue specimens, perform microtomy and histochemistry stains, and assist with IHC procedures. This full-time role supports pathologists by providing accurate data and high-quality slides for microscopic evaluation.

Experience with IHC is highly preferred; an Associate degree or Florida Histology Technologist licensure is required.

Qualifications

Job description

SIGN-ON BONUS – 15K with 1+ years of experience!

Seeking a skilled Histology Technologist to prepare and process tissue specimens perform microtomy slide preparation histochemistry staining and specimen sectioning for microscopic evaluation. Prior hands‑on experience with immunohistochemistry (IHC) is highly preferred.

Work Details

Full-time

FTE: 1.0 – 40hrs. per week

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM–7:00 PM. Weekends on as needed basis.

Job Summary

Performs a variety of laboratory procedures which provide the Pathologists with the material and data required to determine the functions of tissues and causes of disease states. Follows established standards of practice to support optimal patient outcomes.

Job Qualifications

• Education (or equivalent years of experience):

Required for consideration: Associate degree specialized training OR current State of Florida education requirement for Histology Technologist. Any of these three must be specifically for Histology Technologist.

Required for consideration: Current or temporary Florida License for Histology Technologist.
