DermDox Group is seeking a Histology Technician to support receiving, processing, and preparing tissue specimens for microscopic analysis. You will work in a fast-paced lab, collaborating with pathologists to ensure accurate specimen handling and documentation.

The role emphasizes meticulous attention to patient identification, quality control, and adherence to safety standards while contributing to ongoing education and lab operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAHEA-accredited histotechnology program.
• Associates degree plus one year histopathology within the last three years under supervision of a pathologist.
• High school diploma with two years histopathology experience under supervision of a pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes, and logs specimens with proper patient identification.
• Assists pathologists with tissue grossing and labeling cassettes.
• Processes, embeds, and sections tissues for slides.
• Performs preventive maintenance and quality-control on microtomes and processors.
• Maintains safe, clean work area; attends staff meetings and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
