Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Histology Technician to receive, process, and prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by the Pathologist. The role includes logging, batching, cutting, mounting, and staining procedures to produce quality pathology slides.

Responsibilities include providing surgical support to MOHS surgeons, preparing patient charts and instruments for surgery, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations while maintaining a clean, stocked lab

Qualifications

• Prior experience in medical office.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations.
• Team player with strong patient service.
• Self-motivated to achieve high care standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform histological procedures to prepare slides for pathologist review.
• Support MOHS surgeon and patient care staff.
• Prepare charts, forms and instruments for surgery.
• Prepare histology samples, maps and stains.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA and HIPAA regulations.
