UW Health in Madison is seeking a Histology Technician – Surgical Pathology to support tissue preparation for microscopic analysis. You will gross and dissect biopsy specimens, embed tissue in paraffin, perform microtomy, and apply staining techniques on glass slides.
The role involves basic instrument maintenance, reagent monitoring, inventory control, and collaboration with pathologists, residents, and staff across departments.
100% FTE Monday thru Friday 1pm-9pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology OR Education and training equivalent to an associate degree to include:
Education: 60 semester hours including either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses Required
Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science Preferred
Preferred: Previous laboratory experience
Preferred: Histotechnician/Histotechnologist (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent
