Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Histology Technician/Technologist for 2nd or 3rd shift in the Histology Laboratory. You will process, embed, cut, and stain tissue sections to support patient diagnoses in a high-volume clinical setting.

Responsibilities include QA record keeping, supply management, and assisting with equipment maintenance and staff training. A high school diploma is required; histology experience is preferred, with ASCP HT/HTL certification possible

Qualifications

• Assists with quality control and QA records.

Responsibilities

• Process, embed, cut and stain FFPE tissue samples.
• Prepare reagents and dispose chemical wastes properly.
• Sort, deliver and file slides and blocks; assist with supplies.
