HCA Healthcare is seeking a Histology Technician to meticulously prepare and process specimens for microscopic examination, working with pathologists to deliver timely results. The role involves histology/cytology procedures, equipment maintenance, and ongoing quality control within a dynamic lab service line.

The candidate should have 1 year in a clinical lab, a high school diploma, and ASCP HT/HTL certification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• State license where required (CA, FL, NV)
• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process specimens for gross and microscopic examination and diagnosis by a pathologist.
• Perform histology and cytology procedures including processing/fixation, staining, and slide preparation.
• Maintain equipment and perform quality control and quality assurance tasks.
• Support accreditation inspections and ensure proper documentation and traceability.
