Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field or biological science required.
• HT certification from ASCP within 2 years required.
• Competence in slide and tissue processing with minimal errors.
• Understanding of laboratory procedures and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive and identify specimens, prepare them for microscopic examination by pathologist.
• Perform routine histopathology tasks: microtomy, embedding, IHC, special staining.
• Assist with frozen sections, radiology procedures, and cryostat work.
• Use LIS/HIS and laboratory software systems; maintain quality control data.
• Ensure compliance with CAP/CLIA, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
