Job summary

Precision Medicine Group seeks a Senior Histotechnician to lead and ensure accuracy in tissue processing, staining, and IHC in a dynamic histology lab. The role requires hands-on operation of HE staining, embedding, microtomy, tissue processing and auto-stainers, with strong quality control and collaboration with pathologists.

Ideal candidate holds a Biology degree with 5 years of related experience and ASCP HT/HTL certification.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Biology with 5 years of related experience.
ASCP HT/HTL certification preferred or HT certification.

Responsibilities

Process tissue sections including accessioning, embedding, microtomy, staining and IHC.
Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
Independently run HE stainer, embedding system, microtome and tissue processor.
Identify tissue structures and staining characteristics.
Perform quality control within preset limits.
Lead SOP creation and validation plans with supervisors.
Design IHC projects with scientists and manage sample flow.
