Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a histology technician to perform basic histology procedures such as trimming, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and coverslipping. You will assist with receiving samples, tracking, and preparing materials for shipment and archiving.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year of pathology lab experience. Collaboration and accurate data recording are essential, and computer software experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; AA/AS in a biological science preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of pathology laboratory experience.
• Must be able to perform effectively as a team member and record data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic histology procedures: trimming, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, coverslipping.
• Receive samples, complete tracking documentation, and prepare materials for shipment and archiving.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
