Job summary

Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking a Histology Technician in Wisconsin to support high-volume dermatopathology diagnostics. The role involves accessioning, processing, and slide preparation, with emphasis on accuracy, documentation, and teamwork.

Qualified candidates typically have an associate degree and NAACLS-accredited histology training, with CLIA knowledge. Competitive benefits and sign-on bonuses are offered in a full-time, evening-shift environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required
• NAACLS-accredited histology training program required
• CLIA qualifications to perform duties preferred: 60 semester hours incl. 24 in medical lab tech or 24 in chemistry/biology
• Past histology technician experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Accession and receive tissue specimens.
• Prepare and process specimens for microscopic examination.
• Perform grossing and inking per CLIA requirements.
• Prepare media, reagents, chemicals, and solutions.
• Conduct tissue processing, embedding, microtomy/cutting, staining, cryostat use, and freezing.
• Label and prepare high-quality slides for pathology review.
• Examine slides microscopically and report deviations with oversight.
• Maintain and clean instruments and work areas.
• Manage supply inventory to support workflow.
• Complete QA/QC documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in compliance training and regulatory standards.
