Job summary

Revvity, Inc. seeks a Histology Technician to perform tissue processing, logging, batching, cutting, mounting, and related tasks for ready-to-use materials in production.

Responsibilities include producing frozen tissue sections with a cryostat, preparing carrier glasses, maintaining records, ensuring safety, and supporting continuous improvement. Candidates should have HS diploma with lab experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of experience as a laboratory technician or experience as a histology technician
• Associate or bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of experience as a laboratory technician or experience as a histology technician

Responsibilities

• Utilize a freeze cutter to produce frozen tissue sections to be used in our assays.
• Position the tissue sections onto suitable carrier glass for further processing.
• Pack the carrier glasses and ensure their storage.
• Participate in day-to-day production activities accurately following detailed work instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Identify quality and defects within process, product, or equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain appropriate records and complete other production related paperwork.
• Provide training to coworkers as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other delegated tasks, as required.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
