Job summary

BioLegend, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a Histology Technician to receive, process, and prepare tissue specimens for production. You will operate a cryostat, mount sections on carrier glass, and help maintain quality records in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or higher) with histology experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow written procedures in English. Competitive hourly compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years as a lab/histology tech.
• Associate or bachelor's degree with 1+ year lab/histology exp.
• Certification HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate a freeze cutter to produce frozen tissue sections.
• Place tissue sections on carrier glass for further processing.
• Pack and store carrier glasses properly.
• Follow detailed work instructions, processes and procedures.
• Identify quality issues in process, product or equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain records and related paperwork.
• Provide training to coworkers as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other delegated tasks as required.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety and regulatory requirements.
