Job summary

Forefront Dermatology in Pleasant Prairie, WI is seeking a Histology Technician, Uncertified, to process tissue specimens and prepare slides for microscopic examination while maintaining equipment and documentation. This is a full-time, third-shift role with Mon-Thu and Sun, 8pm–4:30am, including a $5,000 sign-on bonus and robust benefits.

Required are an Associate degree and NAACLS histology training; CLIA requirements are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Completion of NAACLS histology training program required.
• CLIA requirements to perform specified job duties, preferred.
• Previous histology technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accession tissue specimens and prepare slides.
• Process tissue through embedding, microtomy, staining.
• Maintain instruments and QA/QC logs.
• Log and store specimens and slides.
• Adhere to CLIA and safety requirements.
• Assist with grossing and inking as allowed.
