Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Histotechnician/Histotechnologist to cut, stain and prepare tissue samples for pathologist review. You will prioritize and complete testing procedures accurately and maintain proper records in line with policies and regulations.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED; recent grads from accredited histology programs or 1 year of surgical pathology lab experience are welcomed, with 3 years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; recent graduate from an accredited histology program required or 1 year of technical experience in a surgical pathology lab.
• 3 years of experience in a surgical pathology laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, staining and preparing tissue samples for the pathologist to review.
• Prioritize testing procedures and complete them accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate records of all tests per established policies and regulations.
