Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Histotechnician/Histotechnologist to cut, stain and prepare tissue samples for pathologist review in a busy pathology lab in Georgia.

The role requires HS diploma or GED, with options for recent grads or those with 1 year experience in surgical pathology; ASCP HT/ Histotechnologist/Histotechnician certification is required. 18-month provisional pathway for new Georgia entrants may apply.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; recent graduate from an accredited histology program accepted.
• 1 year of technical experience in a surgical pathology lab required in lieu of degree.
• 3 years of experience in a surgical pathology lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, staining and preparing tissue samples for the pathologist to review.
• Prioritize testing procedures and complete them accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate records of all tests in accordance with policies and regulations.
