Piedmont Columbus Midtown is hiring a Histotechnician/Histotechnologist to cut, stain, and prepare tissue samples for pathologist review. You will prioritize testing procedures and maintain precise records in a compliant lab environment.

The ideal candidate holds a HS diploma or GED and ASCP HT certification (or eligibility) with Georgia regulatory awareness. Recent grads are welcome; compensation aligns with lab staffing standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; recent histology program graduates welcome.
• 1 year of technical experience in a surgical pathology lab required.
• 3 years experience in a surgical pathology lab preferred.
• HT - Histotechnologist - ASCP certification required or eligible.
• Recently moved to GA may be temporarily classified to complete qualifying exam within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Cut, stain and prepare tissue samples for the pathologist to review.
• Prioritize testing procedures and complete procedures accurately and timely.
• Maintain proper, accurate records of all tests per policies and regulations.

Temporary license eligibility 18 months
