Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Histology Technologist to prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination. You will handle accessioning, fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining under a pathologist’s supervision.

The role requires an associate degree with biology/chemistry credits and an ASCP HT certification or equivalent, plus 1 year of clinical lab experience. PRN, on-site position with MSP salary scale and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 12 semester hours in biology and chemistry (must include credits in both).
• HT(ASCP) certification by ASCP BOC or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process tissue samples for histologic techniques (accessioning, fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining).
• Assist with frozen sectioning when needed.
