Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Histology, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 6 months or more of supervising or leading a team (preferred).
• ASCP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Histology department.
• Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results reported timely.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel in the department.
• Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate assay coverage.
• Ensure all shifts are properly staffed and compliant with regulations.
• Maintain Quality Assurance records and documents.
• Evaluate new process improvements and recommend changes.
