NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY seeks a Histology Supervisor for the Evening shift to coordinate administrative, fiscal, personnel, technical and clerical activities ensuring smooth operation of the Histology Laboratory.

You will initiate new procedures, refine established methods, serve as a resource to the Leadership Team, address complaints, and provide supervision to Lead Histotechnologist, Histotechnologists and support staff. This is an on-site, Tue-Sat 2pm-10pm position.

Qualifikationen

• B.S. degree in Medical Technology or related science.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Certified Histology Technician License from New York Education Department.
• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist.

In this exciting role you will coordinate a wide variety of administrative, fiscal, personnel, technical and clerical activities to ensure operation of the Histology Laboratory. Initiate new procedures as well as study, refine and modify established methods and techniques. Serve as a resource to the Leadership Team. Address complaints regarding laboratory functions and work with the Leadership team as well as the staff to resolve identified problems. Provide direction and supervision to Lead Histotechnologist, Histotechnologists and support staff.

This is an evening shift position, working Tuesday - Saturday from 2pm - 10pm. Saturday shifts require flexibility in scheduling for early or late hours.

Required Criteria

• B.S. degree in Medical Technology or related science
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Certified Histology Technician License from New York Education Department
• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist
