Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY seeks a Histology Supervisor for the Evening shift to coordinate administrative, fiscal, personnel, technical and clerical activities ensuring smooth operation of the Histology Laboratory.

You will initiate new procedures, refine established methods, serve as a resource to the Leadership Team, address complaints, and provide supervision to Lead Histotechnologist, Histotechnologists and support staff. This is an on-site, Tue-Sat 2pm-10pm position.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Medical Technology or related science.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Certified Histology Technician License from New York Education Department.
• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative, fiscal, personnel, technical and clerical activities to ensure Histology Lab operation.
• Initiate new procedures and refine established methods and techniques.
• Serve as a resource to the Leadership Team and supervise staff including Lead Histotechnologist and Histotechnologists.
