NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a motivated Histotechnologist for full-time, evening shifts Monday-Friday (3pm-11pm or 2pm-10pm). The role involves routine histology work in a fully automated lab with fast turnaround times.

Required: associates degree in science or bachelor’s degree, NY licensure or histology tech credential; at least one year in histology; experience with special staining.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Science and completion of an approved Histology accredited program OR a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• New York State licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or certification as Histology Technician/Technologist is required

• Perform all routine histology procedures including grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, labeling and distribution.

As one of the largest and busiest Anatomic Pathology labs in New York, we set the standard for our field, and provide our team with a high level of clinical interaction. Our fully-automated Histology lab enables expedited processing, including a large volume of diversified specimens. We are seeking a motivated grossing professional who is looking to take the next step in their career. Perform all routine procedures as a Histotechnologist to include grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, labeling, special staining and distribution using state-of-the-art equipment. This is a full-time evening shift position working Monday-Friday with a schedule of Monday-Thursday 3p-11p and Fridays 2p-10p. Competitive sign-on bonus up to $10K: Experiential bonus commensurate with experience. Also offering specialty pay differential for Histology.

Preferred Criteria

• At least one year experience in Histology
• Experience with special staining procedures

Required Criteria

• Associates Degree in Science and completion of an approved Histology accredited program OR a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department or certified as a Histology Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist
