NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is seeking a motivated Histotechnologist to join the Pathology and Clinical Laboratories Department. The role involves performing routine histology tasks including accessioning, grossing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and coverslipping with state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a New York State license in Histotechnologist/Clinical Laboratory Technologist, with 1+ year histology experience and knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
• New York State License - Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Histotechnologist, or Clinical Laboratory Technician required.
• At least 1 year experience in Histology preferred.
• Experience with special staining procedures preferred.

Location Flushing, New York Shift: Day Flex (United States of America)

The Pathology and Clinical Laboratories Department at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens are accredited by the American College of Pathologists, the New York State Department of Health and The Joint Commission and examine more than 22,000 surgical specimens, including 2,000 frozen sections and over 750 consultations from outside the institution annually. As one of the largest and busiest Anatomic Pathology labs in New York, we set the standard for our field, and provide our team with a high level of clinical interaction.

Histotechnologist – Pathology | Full-Time, Days Tuesday - Saturday, 4 am - 12 pm

We are seeking a motivational grossing professional who is looking to take the next step in their career. Perform all routine procedures as a Histotechnologist to include accessioning of specimens, grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, labeling and distribution using state-of-the-art equipment.

Preferred Criteria

• At least one year experience in Histology
• Experience with special staining procedures

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• New York State License - Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Histotechnologist, or Clinical Laboratory Technician
