Performs routine histological functions of receiving, preparing, and processing surgical specimens for patients.
REQUIRED:
1. Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program, or currently working towards completion of training program.
2. Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good written and oral communication skills.
3. Certification- eligible applicants must pass examination within eighteen (18) months after school graduation, or after moving to the state of Georgia.
4. All applicants must submit to and pass a Color-Acuity screening Test.
PREFERRED:
1. Computer keyboard and information system experience.
2. Immuno chemistry experience and/or training.
3. B.S. degree in science, plus successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program.
