Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; able to navigate basic web-based applications.
• Laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enters specimen demographics and test orders into the computer; adds tests to specimen type; labels and packages specimens per protocol.
• Processes and aliquots specimens to meet service goals; stores specimens properly and maintains integrity.
• Retrieves slides and blocks for clinical workups; files slides and blocks for long-term storage.
• Answers the telephone promptly and courteously.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked work area.
