Qualifikationen

• 1+ years of computer proficiency experience
• 1+ years of experience in a Histology laboratory including specimen processing
• 1+ years of demonstrated ability to engage in professional phone communication
• Ability to work a 40-hour work week

Aufgaben

• Receive, log, and accession tissue specimens with proper labeling and documentation.
• Operate tissue processing equipment and instruments per protocol.
• Record and track processing steps and results in the LIS.
• Coordinate specimens sent to reference labs and track status.
• Manage inventory of reagents and supplies for tissue processing and staining.
• File slides and blocks with correct patient and specimen identifiers.
• Provide training and guidance to new staff and students.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills with clinicians and team members.
• Adhere to OSHA, CLIA, CAP standards and HIPAA guidelines.
