Central Vermont Medical Center seeks a supervisor for the histology laboratory. The role leads staff, trains new personnel, and evaluates new procedures and equipment while maintaining quality control. You will review slides with Pathologists and oversee specimen processing and staining per protocol.

Relocation assistance is available. 5 years of experience in histology is expected, with ASCP HT/MLS certification options and eligible candidates considered for hire.

Formación

• Associates degree in Histotechnology or ASCP HT certification eligible.
• Bachelors degree HTL ASCP eligible; MLS (ASCP) with HTL within two years of hire.
• Experience leading histology staff and ensuring QC in a clinical lab.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise histology laboratory and administrative assistant personnel.
• Train new personnel and perform performance evaluations for the lead area.
• Develop new procedures and evaluate new equipment and reagents.
• Recognize abnormal results and troubleshoot instrument problems.
• Review slides with Pathologist and ensure proper logging, labeling, embedding, and staining.
