The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in histopathology or related lab work and experience handling PHI via LIS, with opportunities for growth and a performance bonus potential.

Qualifikationen

• One (1) year of histopathology or related laboratory experience.
• One (1) year of experience handling PHI and other patient information using an LIS.

Aufgaben

• Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation under supervision according to policies and procedures.
• Label, receive, and prepare tissue specimens for gross dissection.
• Maintain and clean equipment as part of routine duties.
• Perform cover slipping of stained slides manually or with automation.
• Carry out routine H&E staining manually or with automation.
• Prepare reagents for tissue processing and staining under supervision.
• Process paperwork for accessioning and reporting.
• Handle assigned clerical duties and monitor pending lists if applicable.
• Generate and maintain department statistics when applicable.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies prior to depletion.
• Clean and organize work areas and laboratory equipment.
• Adhere to health, quality and safety policies; use PPE as required.
• Assist technical staff with limited tasks as directed.
