Job summary

HD Biosciences, Inc. in San Diego is expanding its in vivo Pharmacology Division and seeks a Research Associate to perform hands-on histology procedures, including fixation, processing, paraffin embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation.

You will run H&E, IHC, IF, RNAscope, and assist with tissue types and study reports, ensuring high-quality, reproducible data and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on histology/histopathology techniques.
• Tissue fixation and processing.
• Paraffin embedding and microtomy.
• H&E staining and slide preparation.
• IHC/IF and special stains desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform histology procedures including fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy and slide prep.
• Perform H&E, IHC and IF stains, RNAscope as applicable.
• Process a variety of tissue types per protocols.
• Support tissue evaluation with in vivo pharmacology team.
• Troubleshoot processing and staining issues; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records, sample tracking and experimental data.
