Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Histotech/Grossing Trainee in Memphis, TN, with a 04:00 AM to 12:30 PM Monday–Friday shift. Trainee status and on-the-job training will move you toward independent work after supervised completion.

This role starts under direct supervision and aligns with corporate policies for grossing or histology pathways. You will gain hands-on experience in slide preparation, basic tissue processing, and gross specimen handling while meeting safety and quality standards and

• Strong communication skills for team and supervisor interactions.
• Ability to follow policies and maintain accuracy in processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine and limited non-routine slide preparation for microscopic evaluation.
• Perform duties of a Histology Lab Assistant when required.
• Describe gross features and document measurements for grossed specimens under supervision.
• Prepare tissues for histologic processing and ensure quality and safety standards.
