Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Cincinnati is seeking a Histotech/Grossing Trainee. The role trains you to become a grossing technician or histotechnician, under direct supervision, with a 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM schedule.

The position is paid at $20.00+ per hour, with potential performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits program. Associates degree required; bachelor’s preferred. Training progression to independent work upon qualification.

Qualifications

• Requires education as per corporate policies; training to become grossing technician or histotechnician.
• Current trainee state licensure, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of slides for microscopic evaluation by pathologists under supervision.
• Perform duties of a Histology Lab Assistant as needed.
• Describe gross features of routine surgical specimens under direct supervision when trainees for grossing.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
