Job summary

Paycom is seeking a qualified histology technician to support diagnostic tissue evaluation in a clinical or laboratory setting in Colorado. You will perform routine and specialized histology procedures, process and prepare tissue slides, and maintain accurate specimen labeling and documentation.

The role requires one year of histology experience, basic medical terminology knowledge, and the ability to follow safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of histology experience.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Detail oriented with professional attitude and good grammar.
• Ability to learn Laboratory Information System and computer operations.
• Ability to follow local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized histological procedures and related immunologic or chemical work.
• Receive, accession, and verify specimens with patient info.
• Process, embed, and cut tissue using microtomy and correct orientations.
• Stain slides with H&E and manage stain quality and solutions.
• Mount slides with proper medium and controls for staining.
• Apply immunohistochemical techniques and antigen retrieval as needed.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab instruments; document performance.
• Follow OSHA and biosafety rules; ensure safety compliance.
