Qualifications

• Experience with gross examination of tissue specimens.
• Ability to work under direction of Pathologists.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing tissue specimens for gross examination and accessioning as needed.
• Submit and dictate all surgical specimens for processing.
• Maintain and keep cutting area supplied and clean.
• Discard routine tissue specimens per protocol.
• Collaborate with Histology Supervisor on new procedures.
• Review continuing education material under pathologist guidance.
• Follow lab safety procedures and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
