Job summary

Penn Medicine Doylestown Health is seeking a Histology/Cytology Lab Technician to support the Histology and Cytology Department. You will prepare tissue and cells for microscope pathology, perform histologic and cytologic procedures, assist pathologists with frozen sections, and ensure accurate labeling and tracking of specimens.

This full-time day shift role involves maintaining instrumentation, stocking supplies, safety compliance, and adherence to departmental policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Histology/cytology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Histology and Cytology with tissue and cell preparation for microscopy.
• Perform routine histology and cytology procedures and staining.
• Aid pathologists with frozen sections and specimen evaluation.
• Label and track specimens accurately; manage slide and block filing.
• Maintain instrumentation and safety compliance; stock supplies.
