Qualifications

• Associate's degree in applied science or HS diploma with two years' ASCP/NSH training
• Three years' experience in a clinical histology lab preferred
• HT (ASCP) certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment through communication and teamwork
• Accessioning, labeling and billing of specimens; ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Processing and staining of specimens; ensure quality and timeliness
• Perform special stains and routine histology procedures
• Contributes to efficient operation of the section and department
• Promotes professional image of the laboratory and adheres to safety policies
