Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree in Histology preferred.
• Minimum 2 years histology experience with a licensed pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Reviews orders for accuracy and enters tissue and procedures into the laboratory information system; documents specimen ID issues.
• Prepares and labels cassettes prior to pathologist grossing.
• Performs tissue fixation, troubleshoots processing equipment alarms, and maintains tissue processor per QA procedures.
