Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Venice, FL, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our Radiology team. Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will perform mammography and other radiologic procedures with professional judgment and patient-focused care.

This full‑time, part‑time or PRN role requires flexibility to work at all seven urgent care locations, including Venice, with shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Radiology and Mammography is required.
• ARRT certification as Radiologic Technologist.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• FL RT license (Florida Radiologic Tech) required.
• Prefer two years of mammography screening experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and interact professionally in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
• Under Radiologist direction, perform radiographic procedures at a technical level with limited supervision.
• Perform procedures requiring independent judgment for radiologic diagnosis.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

What You’ll Do:

• Greets patients and conduct his/her daily interactions in a way which demonstrates a positive organizational attitude modeling the organization’s mission, vision, and values
• Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis
• Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Our urgent care centers are open 7 days a week, 8am-8pm; evenings, weekends and holidays are required.

• Shifts: 8 hours, 10 hours & 12 hours
• Availability: full‑time, part‑time and PRN

Flexibility to work at all 7 of our urgent care locations is also required, however schedule location preferences will be taken into consideration.
