Cleaning Defenders is hiring a remote Hiring & Recruitment Manager (Virtual Assistant) to own cleaner recruitment and support daily operations. This part-time role offers 20–30 hours weekly with a path to full-time, and a base pay of $600 per month, plus performance bonuses.

You will source candidates, screen applicants, onboard cleaners, track performance, and support marketing and reporting. Some availability during US Central Time is helpful for phone screenings and check-ins.

What you'll do

Your main focus is building a reliable, high-quality cleaning team from first contact to long-term performance.

• Source candidates for cleaner positions through Indeed, Facebook, referrals, and other channels
• Screen applicants by phone and send clear summaries so we can make fast hiring decisions
• Onboard new cleaners and make sure they have everything they need to succeed from day one
• Track cleaner performance over time, including reliability, client feedback, and review scores
• Build and maintain SOPs for hiring and onboarding so the process stays consistent
• Support recruitment marketing by writing job posts, employer-branding content, and hiring campaigns
• Report regularly on the hiring pipeline, retention, and cleaner performance trends

Additional responsibilities

You’ll also help keep daily operations and our online presence running smoothly.

Operations support

• Confirm completed cleans with clients by text message
• Confirm bookings, including photos, timing, and checklists
• Check in with cleaners regularly and build strong working relationships
• Schedule consistent, recurring clients in coordination with our Assistant Manager
• Keep our tracking spreadsheets up to date

Marketing and online presence

• Research and monitor lead platforms such as Meta, Thumbtack, Yelp, Google Local Services Ads, and Nextdoor
• Support paid ads and our overall online presence
• Work with our SEO efforts (experience with SEO agencies is a plus)

What we're looking for

Pay and bonuses

Base pay is $600 per month for 20 to 30 hours per week, plus performance bonuses. This role is performance-driven: the better your hires perform, the more you earn.

Bonuses are tied to:

• Retention of your hires past 30, 60, and 90 days
• Client review scores for the cleaners you bring on
• Cleaner earnings , meaning how much your hires make per week and per month
• Overall team performance driven by the cleaners you hire

You’ll also get flexible hours, a fully remote setup, and the potential to move into a full-time role as we grow. The full-time role pays $800 to $1,200 per month.

How you'll work

You’ll work remotely on your own schedule, with regular check-ins with our Assistant Manager. Since our cleaners and clients are in Nebraska, some availability during US Central Time business hours is needed for phone screenings and cleaner check‑ins.

You’ll need a reliable computer, a stable internet connection, and a phone setup for calls and texts.
