Job summary

Medcurity, a fast-growing software and services company serving healthcare organizations, seeks a Technical Analyst to deliver Security Risk Assessments and Network Vulnerability Assessments for clients. The role includes guiding clients through risk processes, conducting onsite and remote assessments, and documenting findings.

You will work with the Medcurity platform, use AI tools to improve efficiency, and stay current on HIPAA and NIST guidance.

Qualifications

• Foundational networking, IT systems and security concepts.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and interpreting results.
• Understanding of the HIPAA Security Rule and NIST frameworks, or a demonstrated ability to learn them quickly.
• Strong written communication for explaining technical issues to healthcare leaders.
• Driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.
• Security or IT certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ or Network+, are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct HIPAA Security Risk Assessments for healthcare clients, guiding them through the assessment.
• Perform Network Vulnerability Assessments with approved tools and client consent.
• Execute onsite assessments to evaluate physical safeguards.
• Analyze findings, prioritize risks, and prepare clear reports and remediation recommendations.
• Present findings to clients and support through risk management after assessment.
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator on scheduling and deliverables.
• Use AI tools and the Medcurity platform while verifying accuracy.
• Stay current on HIPAA, NIST guidance and cybersecurity threats in healthcare.
• Provide feedback to product and development teams.
