Job summary

MediQuant, Inc. is seeking an IT Security Analyst to monitor networks and systems for security incidents and remediate them. You will analyze risks, develop response procedures, and support tools like firewalls, SIEM, and intrusion detection to protect sensitive health data.

Responsibilities include root cause analysis, vulnerability management, audits, and reporting findings. Candidates should have 1–3 years in IT security and relevant certifications; HIPAA/STIG familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and certificates in computer related field or equivalent.
• 1-3 years in an IT Security role.
• Strong customer service and Information technology acumen.
• Security certification including Network+, Security+, CISA, CISSP or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and STIG compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Collect intrusion artifacts and mitigate cybersecurity threats.
• Monitor cyber defense tools to analyze events and mitigate threats.
• Conduct vulnerability management and anti-virus management.
• Perform internal and external security audits and report findings.
• Support projects and improve network security software or devices.
• Review software from a security perspective.
