Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Release of Information (ROI) Specialist in Torrance, CA. You will process medical record requests, verify permissions, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering exceptional service to patients, providers, and third parties.

The role requires experience with EMR/EHR systems, including Epic, and strong data accuracy and confidentiality. This is an onsite contract position with TEKsystems, offering a structured work environment and opportunities to support healthcare

Qualifications

• ROI experience in healthcare settings (minimum 3 years).
• Experience with Epic ROI Navigator module.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive PHI.

Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill medical record requests (retrieve, review, scan, transmit).
• Verify authorizations and requests for PHI per policies and regulations.
• Date-stamp, prioritize, and track requests to meet SLAs.
