Sentara Health Corporate Office is seeking a Remote HIPAA Privacy Analyst to investigate potential privacy breaches and ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and Information Blocking rules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with 2+ years of privacy analysis experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy and Breach Notification Rules.
  • Experience auditing, investigating, and processing regulatory violations.
  • Ability to triage a customer service call and provide excellent service.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA Security Rule is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates potential privacy breaches and noncompliance with Sentara HIPAA policies.
  • Implements and administers all aspects of Sentara's Privacy policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with internal teams across levels to ensure privacy compliance.
  • Assists in responding to and documenting privacy incidents.

City/StateNorfolk, VAWork ShiftFirst (Days)Overview:Sentara Health Corporate Office is looking to hire a Remote HIPAA Privacy Analyst.This is a remote position: Remote opportunities available in the following states: Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington (state), West Virginia, Wisconsin, WyomingThe HIPAA Privacy Analyst investigates potential privacy breaches and noncompliance with Sentara HIPAA policies. The analyst is responsible for implementing and administering all aspects of Sentara's Privacy policies and procedures and helping to ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, Information Blocking and other federal and state mandated privacy requirements. The base pay range for full-time employment is $67,724.80 - $114,712.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
