ECU Health is seeking a Regional HIMS Operations Specialist I in Greenville, NC. The role supports Health Information Management Services with organization, maintenance, and use of electronic health records, release of information, and vital records tasks.

The position requires attention to detail, foundational health information knowledge, and ability to work with paper and electronic records. Onsite Monday–Friday with standard day shift and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Must understand paper and electronic medical records.
• Medical terminology and computer experience preferred.
• One year of similar work environment experience preferred.
• Notary Public certification within 6 months of employment (as deemed necessary).
• Detail oriented and dependable; works well with others.

Aufgaben

• Prepare records for Release of Information and accurately prep/scan/QA charts.
• Resolve patient identity issues and prepare deficiency/delinquency lists for physicians.
• Perform duties for Vital Records and assist with special projects or reports as needed.
