Job summary

Wickenburg Community Hospital is seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Tech to compile, process, and maintain medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations. The role includes handling obituaries, portal questions, and both internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities cover medical record analysis, release of information, indexing, and scanning, with adherence to hospital policies. The position is full-time and located in Surprise, AZ.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of previous related experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Compile, process, and maintain medical record systems in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Process Obituaries.
• Assist with portal questions.
• Internal and external customer service.
• Medical record analysis.
• Release of Information.
• Document indexing and scanning.
• Adhere to WCH policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
