Good Samaritan Society – Mandan Sunset seeks a Supervisor of Health Information Management (HIM) to lead the HIM team at a 128-bed long-term care facility in Mandan, ND. You will ensure compliance, oversee records, and support billing with accurate coding.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in HIM or equivalent experience, with RHIT/RHIA certifications preferred; strong leadership and HIPAA knowledge are essential for success in this team-based, faith-based nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Management/Technology required.
• Two years HIM experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
• RHIT or RHIA certification preferred.
• Leadership abilities to function within a healthcare team.
• Experience in long-term care/hospital/clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HIM staff and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee admission and discharge related processes for HIM.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in records.
• Audit records and ensure accurate coding and billing support.
