Baptist Health is hiring a HIM Specialist to join the Health Information Management team at Baptist Metro Square in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time day shift role supports accuracy, privacy, and accessibility of patient information, including ROI processing and data integrity in the EMR.

The position requires 1–2 years of customer service and clerical experience, with preferred certifications in health information management.

Formación

• 1–2 years of customer service experience required.
• 1–2 years of clerical experience required.
• Experience in Health Information Management, medical records, or release of information preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Process requests for medical information from patients and continued-care requestors with proper authorization under HIPAA guidelines.
• Retrieve, prepare, and scan medical information into the electronic medical record.
• Review scanned documents for accuracy, completeness, legibility, and data integrity.
• Deficiency tracking and ensuring physician documentation meets regulatory guidelines.
