Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years clerical experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must pass standard filing test.
• Knowledge of medical records or health information management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preps, collates and indexes protected health information into the Document Management System, maintaining integrity of the legal medical record.
• Reviews documents for correct patient demographic information and batches documents per departmental procedures.
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of records for patient care in accordance with Joint Commission standards and coding policies.
• Works as part of a team to meet individual and departmental goals.
